Revitalise Your Skin with Pulsed Light Photorejuvenation
Photorejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that erases the signs of skin damage without disruption of the skin’s surface, so there’s no ‘downtime’.This technology will take years off your appearance by removing pigmentation like sun spots, small facial veins, broken capillaries and discolourations.
Pulsed Light Skin Rejuvenation can also help people with symptoms of rosacea such as red, flushed, cheeks and ugly facial veins.
Benefits include the refining of skin pore size and texture and longer term collagen stimulation resulting in a more luminous, youthful appearance. Most people require a course of three treatments, two months apart.
Facial veins and rosacea may respond faster, sometimes after only one treatment. Most areas of the body can be treated with photorejuvenation. In addition to treatments to the face and decolletage, popular areas are the hands which show dramatic results.
Pulsed Light skin rejuvenation works well in conjunction with clinical skin peels. Clinical Skin Peels revitalise the appearance of the skin making it smoother and more radiant. Find out more about our Clinical Skin Peels or contact us for a free consultation.
The LimeLight Photofacial is designed to treat those tell-tale signs of ageing. Those annoying little veins around your nose and cheeks will disappear, brown spots will fade, skin redness will be reduced, fine lines and wrinkle become less defined and pore size will shrink as the skin texture becomes more refined and regains elasticity.
How many treatments will I need?
One or two spot treatments may be sufficient to eliminate unsightly veins or sun spots. Usually a course of three to five treatments are required to turn back the clock 12-15 years.
I have pigmentation on my chest, can this area be treated?
Certainly, the décolletage may be treated. Any area on the face, neck, hands or body may be treated.
How long will the treatments take?
The time required, depends on the size of the area of skin to be treated, but most treatments should take less than one hour.
What does it feel like?
The sensation could be described as a mild pinching or stinging sensation. No anesthesia is needed.
What happens after the treatment? When will I see results?
The skin may feel quite warm after the procedure. It may look flushed, like a mild sunburn. Brown spots and pigmentation will darken and begin to “crust” over the following days -– all of which may be covered by mineral make-up. Results can be immediate. It is not uncommon for some veins and capillaries to vanish within seconds of treatment. One to three weeks later, brown spots will flake off, veins will disappear, and the redness associated with rosacea will be reduced.
Will the condition (pigment/veins/rosacea) return over time?
New sun damage may occur. It is vitally important that you apply broad-spectrum sunscreen to avoid future sun damage. Rosacea can not be “cured”. However, the improvement can be maintained with occasional ongoing LimeLight procedures. Redless Serum may be beneficial in this instance.
Is there anything I should I do prior to my appointment?
Protect your skin for five days leading up to the appointment. Wear sunblock and avoid skin scrubs and exfoliants.
